    Current billing and experiment clarification

New WooCommerce and Custom API checkout uses Freemius when configured and enabled; existing Stripe subscriptions stay on their legacy route. Shopify billing remains separate and monthly. Opening-message tests support optional C, but automatic promotion only applies to two-arm tests, uses add-to-cart and requires at least 200 sessions per arm plus the implemented z threshold. Confidence labels are decision signals, not proof of causal lift. Channel availability also depends on provider approval and store configuration.

  2. Growth and Pro

    Web billing stays inside Zubby

WooCommerce and Custom API stores use embedded Freemius checkout and manage subscriptions, cancellations, and invoices from Zubby when web billing is enabled. Shopify stores keep Shopify billing. Existing legacy subscriptions remain separate and are not silently moved or charged again.

  3. Growth

    Failed WooCommerce orders remain recoverable

Failed or pending orders no longer count as purchases. Recovery resumes a failed order through WooCommerce's protected payment page, records a successful retry once, and suppresses recovery email queued before the payment completed.

Answers grounded in your product reviews

For quality, fit and "is it good?" questions, the AI can cite the product's average rating with its rating count, review themes and short quotes without reviewer names. It is instructed to use retrieved ratings and prioritize your policies and locked facts over reviews. Review answers for accuracy.

  5. All plans, needs ReCharge

    Subscription self-service with ReCharge

With ReCharge connected, signed-in shoppers can ask about their subscriptions and next charge date. Turn on Manage subscriptions in Settings → AI to let the AI skip, reschedule, pause, resume or cancel, each only after the shopper confirms. It is off by default.

  6. Margin guard on all plans; profit on Growth; contribution profit on Pro

Profit reporting and a margin guard on AI discounts

Zubby now reports profit on AI-attributed orders from your product costs, with cost coverage shown next to every figure. AI discounts are checked against known product costs. When costs are missing, the offer cap cannot guarantee profitability; merchants can block those offers instead.

    Loyalty rewards redeemed in chat

Signed-in shoppers can redeem points for a reward in the widget's rewards panel or by asking the AI. Rewards can come from a code pool, a shared code, or an automatically created WooCommerce coupon.

Hand off to Zendesk or Gorgias

Every Zubby ticket can open a matching ticket in Zendesk or Gorgias with the shopper's details, a redacted transcript and order context. Add the webhook shown on the integration page for two-way sync.

  1. Pro

WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram match the widget

Messaging-channel replies now use your brand voice, locked facts and playbooks, respect your AI cost cap, acknowledge photos and other attachments, and split long replies cleanly instead of cutting links.

  2. All plans

Coupon codes for your Zubby subscription

Enter a Zubby coupon on the signup form or billing page. Eligible discounts apply through embedded Freemius checkout for WooCommerce and Custom API stores, or through Shopify billing for Shopify stores. Review the final price before confirming.

July 2026

  1. Growth

    Proactive engagement

Behavior triggers such as exit intent, dwell time and cart hesitation can open the chat with a page-aware opener before the shopper clicks, capped per session.

    Read the guide: Proactive engagement
  2. All plans

    Exchange-first returns in chat

The AI checks return eligibility, offers an exchange or store credit before a refund when it fits the shopper's reason, and always honors a shopper who just wants a refund. Requests land with your team; the AI never moves money in this flow.

  3. Growth

    Product-finder quizzes

Generate a product-finder quiz from your catalog, edit it in the dashboard, and save shoppers' answers to their profiles for segments and follow-ups.

    Product page Q&A

Zubby drafts grounded questions and answers for each product from its data, your policies and review summaries. You approve them before they appear on the product page.

  5. Growth

    Delivery journeys

New journey triggers for order shipped, order delivered and delivery delayed, so you can send tracking links, review requests and proactive delay notices.

  6. All plans

    Incrementality holdout

Optionally hold a share of visitors back from the assistant and compare linked-order conversion between the two groups. The lift figure needs Shopify cart tokens and is directional evidence, not proof of causation.

  7. All plans

A/B/C tests with traffic split and auto-promote

Historical release summary: test up to three variants and set the traffic split. Current automatic promotion is limited to two-arm tests using add-to-cart, at least 200 sessions per arm, and the implemented z threshold; it does not automatically promote three-arm tests. See the current A/B testing guide.

Eight new playbook templates, including checkout, WhatsApp, price drop, replenishment, VIP and birthday flows, with search, filters and a message preview.
