What "agent-ready" means here
These are shipped features you can check against your own store under Settings, AI Shopping Feeds.
Google and OpenAI product feeds
One item per eligible active variant. Products need an image, product URL and price above zero. Feeds use the latest stored catalog after completed sync or API pushes. Review feed diagnostics and destination requirements before submitting. Pro and Enterprise.
A read-only MCP endpoint
AI agents that speak the Model Context Protocol can search your catalog and published policies live. It never places orders and never exposes costs or stock counts. Pro and Enterprise.
Citable product answers
Publish useful product questions and answers on your pages. WooCommerce stores can also provide an llms.txt index for tools that support it. Neither guarantees search rankings or citations.
Three catalog paths
WooCommerce uses the paired plugin; existing authorized Shopify stores use their managed connector, while new Shopify connections are coming soon. Custom and headless stores push catalog data through the API. All three feed the same store-scoped catalog the feeds are built from.
Helps shoppers referred by AI assistants
Shoppers referred by an assistant often arrive with a specific question. The on-site AI agent answers it from your catalog and policies, compares variants, and helps them to checkout.
Public data only, on your terms
Feeds and agent tools carry public storefront data. Feed generation has its own setup controls. The keyless read-only MCP endpoint is available for active, non-suspended stores on an eligible plan; it has no separate merchant enable switch. API search requires a scoped read key. Downgrading below the required plan stops access.
How an assistant sends you a shopper
- 1
Generate, submit and validate
Zubby generates feed files from your synced catalog. Submit the appropriate feed to an eligible destination, resolve its validation errors and wait for its approval. Feed generation alone does not list a product. An enabled read-only MCP endpoint is a separate way for compatible agents to request public catalog facts.
- 2
Possible discovery and follow-up
An eligible shopping surface may show your products. Published product answers and policies can make source facts available for follow-up questions. Each destination decides what to show or cite; Zubby cannot guarantee selection, ranking or citation. Custom-store freshness depends on your latest API push.
- 3
Visit and buy
The shopper follows your product URL to your storefront, where the Zubby agent can answer the last questions, and pays on your own checkout with your own processor.
- 4
Own the relationship
Order, fulfillment, and support stay yours. Conversations and AI-assisted orders show up in the same Zubby analytics as the rest of your traffic.
Agentic commerce FAQ
Useful, accurate pages and a working website matter most. Google does not require llms.txt or special AI markup for its AI search features. Publishing a feed or adding structured data does not guarantee that your store will appear. Read Google’s guidance for AI search.
What is agentic commerce?
Agentic commerce is shopping where an AI assistant does part of the work for the buyer: finding products, comparing them, and in some assistants starting the purchase. Assistants rely on structured product data such as merchant feeds and live tools, so stores that publish accurate, current catalog data are easier for them to recommend correctly.
What does Zubby give my store today?
On Pro and Enterprise: AI Shopping Feeds (a Google Merchant Center feed and a product feed file in OpenAI's format, built from the latest stored catalog; freshness depends on completed sync or API pushes), a read-only MCP endpoint that AI agents can search for products, product details, store information and published policies, and a product search API for agents holding your read key. On Growth, Pro and Enterprise, with a connected store and available conversation capacity: the on-site AI sales agent that answers the shoppers assistants send you. WooCommerce stores also get an llms.txt and agents.md served from their own domain by the Zubby plugin.
Can an AI assistant complete a purchase through Zubby?
No. Zubby helps assistants find and describe your products accurately and hands shoppers your product URLs; the purchase happens on your own checkout. ChatGPT shopping is run by OpenAI for merchants it approves, who upload a product feed; the OpenAI feed file Zubby builds is meant to be the source of that upload.
Do I need this if I'm already on Shopify?
Shopify's own agentic storefronts setting lists eligible stores with several AI assistants, so you may not need the feeds for that. Zubby still adds the on-storefront AI agent that helps referred shoppers compare products, and the feeds remain useful when you want a Google Merchant Center feed you control. WooCommerce and custom stores get the same feeds and MCP endpoint.
Which plan includes it?
AI Shopping Feeds, the MCP endpoint, and the agent search API are part of Pro and Enterprise. The on-site AI sales agent and product page Q&A with FAQ structured data start on Growth. There is no per-order or transaction fee.
